About Us

Dr. Deborah Josefson is board certified in both internal medicine and anatomic pathology and has been in practice for over 20 years. This dual specialization gives her unique insight into disease processes. She trained in internal medicine at The Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, in Baltimore, Norwalk Hospital, a Yale affiliate in Connecticut and at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Francisco, Her training in pathology was at equally prestigious institutions including Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Francisco and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York

Dr. Josefson is a firm believer that lifestyle choices can impact health both positively and negatively. Obesity, diabetes and metabolic syndrome can largely be reversed through lifestyle interventions such as proper diet, nutrition and exercise. A structured approach such as that offered by the Help Your Diabetes Team, in concert with following proper medical protocols instituted by the patients primary care doctors and endocrinologists will do much to enhance health.

Andrea has worked in the diabetes industry for many years, and personally has family members living with the disease, so she is very proud to be part of a team that guarantees the reversal of Type 2 Diabetes. She herself also lives a very healthy lifestyle and has competed in 3 triathlons, and 2 mini marathons. “I am consistently challenging myself to live each day to its fullest!”

When not at work, Andrea enjoys spending time with her great family and friends. She also enjoys working out, boating, volunteering, and biking.
